JUAN SHOT A VULTURE WALKING WITH BLUE PAINT: AN ART STORY IN AGUASCALIENTES
Synopsis
The history of art in Aguascalientes has not yet been written but, in recent years, valuable contributions in this field have emerged. This book is one of them. Starting with the question of how contemporary art was born in Aguascalientes, the author weaves this story to investigate the processes, ideas and motifs of four selected works of art.
Juan shot a vulture walking with blue paint does not pretend to tell the history of art in Aguascalientes, but it does tell a part of it. The reader will be able to delve into the background of institutions that have been forged over the years and that are essential to understand the state's artistic production, such as the Centro de Artes Visuales and the Casa de la Cultura, as well as the key figures that made them possible.
