Synopsis

Reducing our impact on the environment can be quite a challenge if we take into account the accelerated life from which it is inevitable to escape nowadays. The same challenge becomes even more complicated if we do not know which activities generate the most waste, consume the most energy, or require the greatest exploitation of natural resources. In addition, we live in an era in which information abounds, but it also gets in the way, since there are contradictory, outdated or difficult to understand data on the web that, instead of motivating, discourage even the most enthusiastic to become a “green” person. Sustainability. An Introduction for Zombies presents the information in a simple and easy-to-digest way, to serve as an invitation to become aware and realize that our daily activities, no matter how insignificant they may seem, have an impact on the environment. The clothes we wear, the food we eat and the items we use for our personal hygiene have generated waste, consumed energy and natural resources, so any change in their use will also be a change that could reduce the impact on the environment. The large number of articles presented in the pages of this book serve as a guide to identify those that have the greatest impact on our daily lives, in order to change them for those that are more environmentally friendly. On each page, you will also find a QR code that takes you to a more sustainable alternative. This book is a manual to get out of the “zombie-zone” and become “green people”.
