Synopsis

All knowledge of a subject begins with the set of data that can be obtained from it. Therefore, an academic research of this type aims to show the most relevant figures on a phenomenon, which has been developed in co-responsibility with state authorities and academic institutions, considering that statistical information should serve as a basis for the analysis and decision-making by interested users, such as students, researchers, members of the public, private and social sectors, as well as international organizations.
The behavior of suicide can be seen from two perspectives: in its statistical part, it describes a basic overview of the generated information that may seem cold, but that gives us a clue of the state's place at the national and international level; from the public health point of view, as an epidemiological phenomenon that affects the population, mainly the economically active.
