DIGITAL SOVEREIGNTY RIGHTS
Synopsis
The book analyzes a new concept of digital sovereignty and the role played by the State and the citizen in the scenario of the technological revolution. It then addresses cybercrime and cybersecurity, presenting concrete cases and specific challenges for Latin America. The work explores the unavoidable issue of the digital divide, with special attention to the virtuous link that must be generated between knowledge, economy and development. The work also describes the role played by actors on the international scene, such as large U.S. technology companies in the monetization and management of data (Big Data). Finally, it presents an analysis of the challenge for the European process of economic and financial integration posed by the regulation of cryptocurrencies and the digital euro.
