ANALYSIS AND TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE SCIENCES
Synopsis
One of the outstanding efforts in the search for new development pathways was the approval in the United Nations General Assembly of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, where an action plan with 17 goals and 169 targets to be achieved by 2030 was agreed upon by the countries and parties involved. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals are not legally binding; however, countries are expected to incorporate them into their policies, plans, and programs, and other social, political, and economic actors are expected to include them in their decisions. The progress and fulfillment of these objectives are verified through indicators, and the guidance on the development and calculation of these indicators falls under the Inter-Agency and Expert Group on Sustainable Development Goal Indicators.
Universities, particularly members of the academic community focused on conducting research, provide knowledge, evidence, information, and statistics—through their research projects—on the progress and achievements of the Sustainable Development Goals. These research works explicitly or implicitly state their purpose of evaluating how national or local governments, companies, individuals, non-governmental organizations, and other agents implement or fulfill the Sustainable Development Goals.
The work before the reader is situated in the thematic context of sustainable development and aims at the analysis and technical management of administrative sciences. The book is the product of a group of researchers, specifically, the first authors are students of the Doctorate in Administrative Sciences at the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes, who are accompanied (co-authors) by their thesis advisors and, in some cases, by other researchers. There are two main axes around which this text is organized: eco-innovation and sustainability.
